Full Out Barre Review

Full Out Barre Review

jessie.m.helton

I have been a barre client and instructor for over 5 years now, and always enjoy the opportunity to try new studios and methods. One of the unique barre methods in the Little Rock area is Full Out Barre! Recently, they had a promotion with a full week of free classes for the community. It was the perfect chance for me to stop in and try this different method! If you’re in the Little Rock area or interested in learning more about this unique barre style, keep reading!

The Method

I have done all different types of barre including Neighborhood Barre, Pure Barre, and Barre3. I’ve also tried different fitness facilities barre classes, like at the Zen Fitness studio in Little Rock. Most barre methods involve a lot of small, isometric movements. Some methods utilize more cardio than others, and typically brands have a few different styles outside of their traditional class. Full Out Barre is supposed to be more of a high impact style workout than most other barre brands. After taking their flagship Full Out Barre class, I can attest to that! This was unlike any barre class I’ve ever been a client in and felt a lot more like a HIIT or boot camp class.

The Class

The class itself is very traditional in set up and timing, lasting right around an hour. The layout of class included a warm up, the full body work, and ended with abs and a cool down. The bulk part of work was a very different barre experience than any other barre class I’ve been in. The pattern seemed to include timed full body movements to build fatigue, followed by another timed session of a smaller, isometric movement for burnout. Again, think much more boot camp style! The movements were reminiscent of barre moves that I am familiar with, but if you’ve never done a barre class you might not be able to connect the two.

Here are my workout results. I chose HIIT for the exercise option because of how this class is set up and it was certainly a calorie burner!

The Studio

The Full Out Barre studio is in a shopping center in one of the main neighborhoods in Little Rock where a lot of other fitness facilities, like F45, are located. The interior of the studio is super cute with neon signs of encouragement and tons of super cute retail. There’s one large studio designed specially for the workout, and an open equipment storage area past the front desk. They also have cubbies for you to place your belongings in and mats to borrow if you don’t have your own!

Pricing

After class I got a text from the owner, instructor from my class, and another instructor thanking me for trying class and with membership pricing details. Full Out Barre does something I absolutely LOVE! They give clients and entire week for free to try their classes! This studio teaches multiple class types, so this is a home run for someone looking for a new workout and wanting to see if they love this. Membership pricing ranges from $59/month for 4 classes to $150/month for an unlimited membership. This pricing is right in line with other boutique fitness studios, so if it’s something you love go for it!

Final Thoughts

Depending on the type of barre your accustomed to and/or enjoy this might not be your cup of tea. I do absolutely think Full Out Barre is worth the try! The studio is cute, the instructor was kind and encouraging, and all of the other clients were very welcoming. It’s certainly not your traditional barre experience, but I really enjoyed my time trying out this new method!
