Last Minute Gifts: a Guide to Finish Your List!

Last Minute Gifts: a Guide to Finish Your List!

jessie.m.helton

If your last few months have been crazy like mine, you might also be behind on your holiday gift buying! Knowing that I’m going to be traveling for Christmas with gifts has added another layer of complication for me this year. I even thought about pitching the idea of no gifts, but gave that up pretty quickly. While trying to keep it simple, I’ve found some fun gifts for everyone on my list. Below are a handful of cute, quick, and easy to get gifts for just about anyone in your life!

For the Animal Lover

PupSocks

This item isn’t new, but dang it I think it is so cute! I am obsessed with my dog Cali, so anything cute and puppy related I’m in for. These socks can be created and designed a million different ways to have your animal’s face on them! They also have other items like blankets you can do this with, but the socks are a perfect stocking stuffer. This company in particular ships quickly, so even if you’re behind you should still have them in time!

For the Cozy/Comfy Lover

I will raise my hand as being a part of this category because I can never get enough cozy or comfy clothes. There are a handful of people in my circle that have the same obsession, and these are 2 great ideas!

House Shoes

First of all, I come from the Ugg loving generation. Ugg boots with denim skirts was a thing when I was in middle school, so I’ve been obsessed with the brand for a while. My absolute favorite Ugg item is their house shoes! These babies aren’t cheap, but I promise they will last for years. I snagged a pair as a gift this year, and might end up grabbing another pair for myself too!

Pajamas

Pajamas are probably my favorite clothing category, with workout clothes coming in close second. Pajama sets are one of my favorite gifts to get and give! I bought my mom a set of the cult favorite Barefoot Dreams pajamas one year, and she absolutely loved them. These are popular for a good reason, because they are ridiculously soft and comfy.

Another much more affordable option that I’ve found is the Stars Above brand loungewear from Target! I have at least 4 or 5 sets of their pajamas. They feel just as soft as the Barefoot Dreams, in my opinion, and are a fraction of the cost.

For the Fitness Freak

I say “fitness freak” lovingly, because again I would put myself in this category. There are honestly a hundred different gift ideas I could think of, but these are a couple that I would consider slam dunks!

Fitness Tracker

Fitness trackers are a great idea for someone who loves to workout. Personally, I use an Apple Watch and love it. I have an older version without cellular data, and still think it does a great job. Aubrey uses a FitBit that works great for him tracking steps, calories, and sleep. A third option that’s newer to this category is the Whoop band. I know the Whoop got super popular in the CrossFit community recently, and have not used one myself. But, I know it tracks workouts and recovery in great detail and have heard only positive things!

All of these trackers have different price points, so my suggestions is to shop the different Apple Watch, FitBit, and Whoop models by clicking these links to see which you think is best for your friend or family member!

Athleisure Wear

I can’t keep myself from including some good athleisure/work out wear on this gift guide. If I had to narrow it down, I would say these 3 items are guaranteed wins!

For men, the Lululemon joggers are awesome gifts. Most men would never buy these for themselves, but once they have a pair they never turn back! The Lululemon Align leggings are also a great, cult favorite that I’ve bought myself and friends over and over again as gifts. Last but not least, the No Bull runners have become another really popular fitness shoe. They’re great not only for CrossFit, but also in the gym, at Orange Theory, F45, or just going for a jog through the neighborhood! I have a pair of these on my own list this year 🙂

For the Traveler

Travel is a passion of ours, and I know that it can be really tough right now. But, we all have people in our lives who love to do it! With monitoring Covid conditions continuously, it’s still a possibility right now for a handful of international countries as well as throughout the U.S. I’ve got a couple of great travel gift ideas for this special person on your list!

Chord Organizer

Even if you don’t travel often, but you do go on overnight trips or have a ton of chords for work this first gift is a must! You can find these cute chord organizers on Etsy, and even have them personalized! This not only helps keep you organized, but also helps support small business.

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes were on my list when we went to Iceland, but I had never used them before. Now, after travelling with them, I would highly recommend especially for international travel! These cubes are a life saver when it comes to keeping everything organized in your suitcase. BIG FAN!

Easy Travel Bag

Aubrey makes fun of me for how often I use this last gift idea, but it is something I feel like I can’t go without! I bought this little Lululemon bag, again, for Iceland. Now I use it everywhere I go, but it’s especially great for the airport! You can get to all the things you need while staying hands free, which is perfect! I also think it’s great for the gym or running errands.

For the Hardest Person to Buy For

To finish up the list, I figured I could throw a handful of miscellaneous gifts I’ve bought in the past for the people in my life that are so dang hard to buy for! Sometimes you’ve got to get creative, so hopefully these ideas will help you with that last tough buy this season.

Personalized Phone Case

This may seem silly, but this was probably one of my mom’s favorite previous gifts. My brother and I always have the hardest time thinking of what to get her. She’s not picky, she never asks for anything, but we want to get her great gifts every year! This personalized phone cover idea was perfect for her. Pick out a favorite picture, put it on a phone case, and you have a great gift or stocking stuffer that will definitely be a hit!

History Subscription

Aubrey is also tough for me to buy for sometimes. One thing about him, though, is that he loves history. Last year I was searching around on Uncommon Goods and found this awesome gift idea! This is one of those perfect gifts that keeps on giving. The subscription sent a replicated historical artifact to him every month for 6 months. They would also send a letter explaining what the artifact was and why it was important in history. This is a very cool and unique gift for someone in your life that’s a big history buff for sure!

Fuzzy Socks

These could also go in the cozy lover category, but I have bought these socks for just about everyone I know because of how much I love them! They’re at a great price point from Dick’s Sporting Goods, and are so comfortable that you’ll never want to take them off. I have multiple pairs myself, and think these are great stocking stuffer or White Elephant gift.

Final Thoughts

Hopefully some of these gift ideas will help you check off everyone on your Christmas list this year! As a friendly reminder, don’t let the shopping get in the way of you enjoying the season. Try to keep in mind it’s more about being present with friends and family than being the best gift giver.

Enjoy the holidays, and leave a comment on any other awesome gift ideas you have!
